Dungeons and Dragons

June 7 @ 1:00 pm3:00 pm

Step into a world of imagination and adventure with our beginner-friendly Dungeons & Dragons event designed especially for kids and teens! Whether you’re new to role-playing games or want to try something fun with friends, this session will guide you through creating your own character and embarking on a simple, exciting quest. No prior experience needed—just bring your creativity!

We’ll use a kid-friendly, streamlined version of D&D rules that focuses on storytelling and fun rather than complex mechanics. For example, characters will have basic stats, simple hit points, and straightforward abilities to keep the game easy to follow.

Participants can choose from pre-made characters with clear, simple abilities or create their own with help from the Dungeon Master (DM). Character sheets will be easy to understand and include fun elements like character drawings and favorite possessions.

The adventure will have a clear, defined goal, such as rescuing a lost animal or finding a hidden treasure. The story will be mostly linear to keep players focused and engaged, with room for creativity and roleplaying.

The DM will describe scenes and challenges, and players will decide what actions their characters take. Dice rolls will be simplified (e.g., rolling 2d6 or a single d20) to determine success or failure, with the DM narrating outcomes in an encouraging way.

The session will last about 2 hours, balancing gameplay with breaks and opportunities for players to share their character ideas and stories.
