
Fandom Fight

Fandom Fight is an interactive debate event where teens go head-to-head to argue which fictional character would win in a showdown. Participants select characters from popular fandoms—such as Marvel, Star Wars, anime, or video games—and use evidence, logic, and creativity to defend their champion. This friendly competition builds debate skills, fosters respectful discussion, and lets teens showcase their fandom expertise in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
Learning Objectives

Critical Thinking & Argumentation:
Teens will develop logical reasoning and persuasive skills by constructing and defending arguments for their chosen characters. -
Public Speaking & Confidence:
Participants will practice speaking clearly and confidently in front of peers, building self-assurance and presentation skills. -
Respectful Communication:
Teens will learn to debate respectfully, listen actively, and value differing opinions, even when they disagree. -
Research & Evidence Use:
Teens will practice gathering evidence from source material (books, movies, games) to support their arguments. -
Community & Social Connection:
The event fosters camaraderie and connection among teens who share fandom interests, helping them find common ground and new friends.
Fandom Fight is designed to be fun, inclusive, and empowering, giving teens a platform to geek out, sharpen their debate skills, and celebrate what they love most about their favorite fictional worlds.
