Recess Day is a lively, energetic event designed to give children a chance to play classic playground games like Duck Duck Goose, Hopscotch, Hot Potato, Mr. Bear, Are You Awake?, Red Light Green Light, and Simon Says. This event promotes physical activity, social interaction, and joyful play in a safe, supervised outdoor setting. Kids will develop coordination, listening skills, and teamwork while enjoying the timeless fun of recess games.
Learning Objectives
- Physical Development:
Enhance gross motor skills, balance, and coordination through active games like hopscotch and running. - Listening & Attention:
Improve focus and auditory processing by following game instructions in Simon Says, Red Light Green Light, and Are You Awake? - Social Skills:
Foster cooperation, turn-taking, patience, and sportsmanship during group play. - Self-Regulation:
Practice impulse control and emotional regulation by waiting for turns and following rules. - Teamwork & Communication:
Build positive peer interactions and communication skills through collaborative games.
